About
At Words Poetic is a Good Omens fanfic-centric zine full of stories of love for a love story. There are a lot of talented writers in the fandom and this zine will place a spotlight on them and their work alongside illustrators and merch artists.
☞ Theme. Stories of love for a love story.
☞ Profit or Charity? To be determined by interest check.
☞ Digital or Physical? For now, it will be digital only with physical merch, but that may change upon interest in the project.
☞ Merch. To be determined by interest check.
☞ Characters. Any and all characters featured in the book, TV show and radio adaptation.
☞ Ships. Yes, of many varieties. Pedophilic, abusive or incestuous ships WILL NOT be allowed.
☞ SFW or NSFW? This is completely SFW and G-T rated. Small amounts of blood are permitted and acts of violence can be mentioned/illustrated, but must not be explored too in-depth.
Rules
Discord participation is mandatory. Since this is a fanfic-centric zine, all illustrations in the zine (aside from the cover) will be related to the stories the writers will write. This will entail a lot of collaboration between the writer and illustrator and communication will be imperative between them.
All works must be specifically created for the zine. Reusing previous projects is not allowed.
Artists will create fully fleshed out illustrations with backgrounds. No sketches will be permitted. In the same vein, writers will pen a full story with a coherent beginning, middle and end.
This project will be strict on adhering and meeting the stipulated deadlines. Extensions will be permitted on every stage of the production cycle (up to a maximum of one week after the original deadline with extenuating circumstances being handled on a case-by-case basis) but must not be exploited. Failure to complete one’s tasks by the deadline will result in a warning. On the second warning a user receives, they will be removed from the zine and server.
Contributors and Mods alike shall not disclose, reveal, distribute or reproduce any of the content produced and provided by the At Words Poetic Team in any way without direct authorization from the Mods and/or Admin (Coslyn). Posting cropped artwork/writing snippets is allowed but must not be too revealing.
For full disclosure and transparency, we will screening applicants and those who support or condone pedophilia, abuse or incest will not be allowed to contribute to this project.

Compensation
Whether this is for profit or charity is to be determined by the interest check, but each contributor and mod is guaranteed physical copies of the merch (and zine if it ends up being printed) regardless of the success and profit of the zine. It will be paid out of pocket by the Head Admin (Coslyn) if the zine profits can't cover it. That said, the only uncertainty is shipping and it may be that the contributor will have to pay that out of pocket. Contributors will also be able to request copies of the zine and merchandise at production cost plus shipping.
Mod Team
Currently, there is only one mod, but the team will be expanding with Mod Applications.
Coslyn
Head Admin & Graphic Designer. Coslyn is a non-binary 22-year old graphic designer in the software industry with a specialization in digital marketing and publications. They’ll be overseeing this project and will be designing any and all promotional graphics including the final layout of the zine. They're allergic to cats but love cats all the same.

Writer Applications
☞ Written pieces
Provide 3 samples that best represent your writing skills; the works you are most proud of. All links should work! Any broken links will sadly result in your application getting tossed.
☞ Absolute requirements
» All pieces should add up to 1k words minimum and 5k maximum. Anything longer and shorter will sadly result in your application getting tossed.
» Samples can be parts of longer works (chapters of a whole story, parts of a chapter etc.) but must have a clear beginning, middle and end. If possible, link the completed piece somewhere.
» All submitted works must be SFW! No sexual content, gore, excessive blood etc.
☞ Preferred, but not necessary
» At least one (1) piece being Good Omens centric
☞ Link to Portfolio*
This can be an AO3 Account, Google Drive folder, Tumblr tag and other social media.
☞ Are you interested in being a pinch hitter?*
A pinch hitter means that in the event of a contributor dropping out of the zine, you will be called in to replace them. Agreeing to be a pinch hitter DOES NOT mean you will automatically be the second choice. You may very well be our first choice!. It simply means that if you were not chosen, there is a chance to be brought in if another contributor drops out. This does mean that you will have less time than all the other contributors but will be expected to produce the same quality of work! Pinch hitters will not be accepted past the second check-in.
☞ Any ideas for your piece?
This will NOT be relevant in the judgement process.
Applications opening December 15
